The Role of Ojas

Ojas is the product of complete, optimal digestion across all seven tissue layers. It is the final, most refined essence produced when the digestive system is functioning perfectly. When Ojas is depleted, the body ages rapidly, immunity collapses, and the mind becomes anxious and unclear.

The central problem of modern life is the systematic depletion of Ojas. Alcohol depletes it. Stress and sleep deprivation deplete it. Poor digestion prevents it from being made. The constant overstimulation of the senses depletes it. By the time a person reaches 60 or 70, Ojas has been nearly eliminated through decades of these practices.
